Prior to being a lawyer and called to the bar in 2014, Satinder Brar was a licensed paralegal and worked for a personal injury firm in Richmond Hill. He continued his studies and graduated from law school with Honors from the University of Leicester in 2011.
Upon completing law school, Satinder articled for a criminal defence firm and became a sole practitioner practicing in the areas of criminal law, regulatory matters and quasi-criminal matters. Satinder Brar made appearances at the Superior Court of Justice, Law Society of Ontario and many other tribunals.
Satinder fought for individuals’ rights and provided clients with the information they needed to successfully navigate the court process. Satinder took pride in assisting vulnerable individuals in Mental Health Court and represented many youths under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Satinder enjoyed assisting many youths by offering legal advice to them and their family. He further inquired about programs that his clients could participate in, that would assist them in any way to prevent further occurrences with the criminal justice system.
Satinder was on the legal aid panel and assisted clients who otherwise would not have been able to obtain the legal assistance they needed. Satinder enjoys interacting with his clients and assisting them any way he can.
