Alyssa Warias joined Mills & Mills as an associate in 2021, practicing in the area of family law. Prior to joining, Alyssa completed the Law Practice Program and worked at a boutique civil litigation firm in Toronto.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dalhousie University in 2015, graduating with First Class Honours. She then completed her Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019.
While studying law at Osgoode, Alyssa received an internship grant to work with Animal Justice, advocating for better animal protection laws in Canada. She was also involved with the Osgoode Hall Animal Justice Club throughout her time at Osgoode and acted as Co-President in her final year.
Alyssa volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project, providing legal information and drafting court documents for unrepresented litigants. During her final year of law school, Alyssa worked as a student case worker at the Barbra Schlifer Clinic, assisting women experiencing gender-based violence with their family law issues. These experiences further solidified her interest in family law.
Alyssa brings her passion for helping others to her practice of family law. She enjoys helping clients navigate complex family law issues and values the importance of providing her legal services through a lens of empathy and understanding.
