The Estates Group of the firm was pleased to host over 20 charities on November 27 at the RCYC. The event was the inaugural Mills and Mills Charities Get-Together.
A case study was presented by 3 members of the Estates Group, commencing with the delivery of informal accounts and ending with resolution of formal accounts on mediation. The underlying theme was that the charities should be more diligent in protecting and preserving their rights to receive accurate and timely accountings from estate trustees.
Just as importantly, faces were put to names and mutual concerns were aired.
This is definitely going to be an annual event. Any suggestions for future topics would be appreciated and will be respectfully considered.
