Tony joined Mills & Mills LLP in 2001 and became a partner in 2004. His early experience with a Toronto national firm exposed him to an array of commercial and personal contentious matters including business disputes, construction
claims, professional errors and omissions, and personal injury. In the 1990’s, as a partner in a boutique bank-side firm, Tony established and managed a formal litigation/insolvency department. He attracted retainers from a number of the largest Toronto financial
institutions and successfully argued a volume of debtor/creditor and insolvency cases on the Commercial List in Toronto and the General Lists throughout Ontario. More recently, he has appeared regularly on behalf of charities and other parties on the Estates List in Toronto.
He is pioneering the appointment of counsel as estate trustees during litigation to reduce client costs. Tony sits as a director on the boards of some small private Ontario corporations, and he publishes papers each year
in his areas of interest. |
